Once again Dhallywood’s
promising actress Puja Cherry Roy to star opposite superstar Shakib Khan in their upcoming movie titled Maya, to be directed by Himel Ashraf. Both story and screenplay of the movie were done by Ferari Farhad. The movie got a government grant of Tk65 lakh in the financial year 2021-22.
Earlier, the actress was seen opposite Shakib Khan in SA Haque Alik directed movie Golui, which was released in Eid-ul-Fitr. The movie was widely discussed and commercially successful.
Puja was highly acclaimed for her performance and the chemistry of the duo in the movie was appreciated by the viewers too. Based on the success and chemistry the duo is going to share the screen once again. While sharing her feelings to star opposite Shakib Khan again, actress Puja Cherry said, “We are teaming up again and it is final. The story of the movie is awesome. I have never worked on such a story.”
It is noted that the upcoming movie titled Maya is a production of Shakib Khan’s own production house, SK Films.
While talking about the upcoming movie, Shakib Khan said, “The VFX and CG work in this movie will be world-class. After watching foreign productions, we always thought why we couldn’t achieve similar levels of quality. Maya will try to be that film which has a lot of background and planning. To tell the story properly, I do not want to put any restrictions in terms of the budget for the movie.”
The title of the movie Maya might change before starting its shooting and the shooting will complete by the end of this year, Shakib also said.
Meanwhile, some rumours are going on the industry about Shakib and Puja Cherry pairing up for two consecutive movies. While talking in this regard, Puja said, “Rumours are often about the heroine who works with Shakib Bhai. I am a positive-minded person. Not thinking about anything outside of work. The way the viewer sees us on the screen; it may seem that we are in love. In reality, it is not like that. I am the heroine of the industry. I will work with everyone.”
