University Grants Commission, the apex regulatory body of the universities, has formulated a uniform recruitment and promotion policy for the employers and employees of the public universities in the country.
Under this new policy, the authorities of the universities have to comply with the recruitment policy with minimum qualification prescribed in it.
The recruitment draft has been finalised at a Commission meeting in the presence of employers and employees of the universities on Sunday.
Committee convener Prof. Dil Afroze Begum who is also the acting UGC Chairman presided over the meeting.
UGC members Prof Dr Bishwajit Chanda and Prof Dr Md Abu Taher, deputy director of finance and account division Md Mostafizur Rahman, President of Bangladesh Inter-University Officers Federation Md Amirul Islam, its Secretary General Mir Md Morshedur Rahman.
