LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Md Tazul Islam said local public representatives are working round-the-clock at their respective areas to stay beside people to fight the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).
“Under the directives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, mayors, chairmen, councilors and members are working with utmost sincerity to check the spread of the deadly virus,” he told journalists after visiting the programme of spraying germicide at streets in DNCC areas.
The programme began at the main streets near Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at 11am.
Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) mayor Atiqul Islam, Panel Mayor Md Jamal Mostafa and officials of the DNCC were present on the occasion.
