Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque on Sunday underscored the need for creating public awareness to prevent dengue.
Zahid asked the authorities concerned to intensify efforts of controlling aedes mosquitoes and continuing cleanliness drives in the city to protect the city dwellers from the mosquito menace, said an official press release here.
He said the Health and Family Welfare Ministry, the Local Government and Rural Development Ministry and city corporations should make combined efforts to prevent dengue from spreading, added the release.
The minister was speaking at a view-exchange with the ‘Bangladesh Awami League Dengue Prevention and Treatment Monitoring Cell’ held at the secretariat.
