The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Assurances on Wednesday suggested the power, energy and mineral resources ministry to construct necessary electricity distribution line and repair existing line in rural areas to avoid load shedding for upholding the government’s image.
Members of the standing committee also recommended to improve power distribution system and install necessary number of sub-stations in the areas, according to a statement issued by the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat here.
The committee made the recommendation at its 33rd meeting at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with its chairman Kazi Keramat Ali presiding. Committee members A K M Shahjahan Kamal, M Abdul Majid Khan and Mir Mostak Ahmed Rabi attended the meeting.
