Staff Reporter :
The Public Service Commission (PSC) on Sunday recommended for appointment of 5,100 nurses as Senior Staff Nurses.
The PSC published the final results of the Senior Staff Nurse recruitment Examinations.
The candidates have been considered for appointment in the 10th grade based on merit and existing quota, the PSC sources said.
The appointment of 28 candidates have been kept in abeyance due to gap in information or due to administrative issues. The PSC has instructed the applicants to submit the relative certificates, information and documents within the appointed time.
Last year the PSC appointed 4,000 senior staff nurses and 600 midwives under the Health and Family Welfare Ministry’s Directorate General of Health Services.
This year the examinations were held on February 9.
A total of 16,900 candidates sat for the examinations at 12 centres in Dhaka, answering a series of 100 multiple-choice questions. The PSC finalised the list of 5,100 candidates after holding the viva interview of those candidates who passed the written test.
