The Primary and Ebtedayee Terminal Examinations-2014 begin across the country on Sunday.
Some 27,88,544 students from schools, while 3,05,721 from madrasahs will take part in the examinations to be held simultaneously at 6,791 centers across the country.
The examinations will be held from 11 am to 1:30 pm on the scheduled days. The examinations are scheduled to end on November 30.
Among the school examinees, 12,82,079 are boys and 15,06,465 are girls. Of the Ebtedayee examinees, 1,57,448 are boys and 1,48,283 girls.
The number of girls is higher than the boys this time, too.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Advocate Mustafizur Rahman disclosed the details while briefing reporters at his office on Thursday.
The minister said, all necessary preparations have been taken to properly hold the examinations.
“Question papers have been formulated, printed and distributed under special arrangements and security. Despite all the measures, there remain chances of question paper leakage under the traditional system of question paper making,” he said.
Mustafizur Rahman continued, “We’ve been thinking to introduce a digital system instead of traditional one in preparing and distribute of question papers in the future.”
