Proxy examinee held at IU

The authority of Islamic University (IU) Kushtia detained a proxy examinee during ‘H’ unit admission test of the first year honour courses under Law and Sariah faculty on Sunday last. The detainee held from 231 room of MA Wazed Mia science building of the university. The detainee was identified as Indrojit Kumar, son of Wajit Kumar Biswas residency of Srirampur Upozilla in Magura district, IU proctor Prof Dr M Mahbubar Rahman said.
According to source, Indrojit held for giving a femal examinees roll number in the answer paper and providing few documents.
After interrogation, the proctorial body of the university hand Indrojit over mobile court while Saiful Islam Komol, assistant commissioner and executive magistrate of Kushtia sent Indrojit for one year jail under the act 1980(3).
IU ‘E’ unit Admission Test results published: The admission test results of ‘E’ unit under Applied Science and Technology faculty of Islamic University (IU), Kushtia published on Sunday night.
‘E’ unit coordinator, Assistant Prof Dr M Soriful Islam handed the results over university vice chancellor Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Askari around 7:00pm while only 22.93 percent come out in the tests. Some 7,972 aspirants out of 13,026 took part in the test and of them 1,828 came out successful.
