UNB, Dhaka :
The Supreme Court has ordered the government to provide internet connections to all the courts across the country within 15 workdays.
The order was given through a circular titled ‘Internet connections to offices at govt expense’ issued on July 29. However, it came to light on Monday.
The circular signed by Supreme Court Registrar General Syed Aminul Islam
said it is imperative to provide internet connections to all the courts/tribunals to facilitate quick communication and exchange of information and data between the Supreme Court and lower courts and to bring dynamism in the official work of the judiciary. “So, order has been given to inform the court within 15 days after providing internet connections to all the courts/tribunals on an urgent basis,” the circular reads.
