A Protest procession on roads and rally of district and divisional officials and employees of the government styled as `Jatir Pitar Samman, Rakhbo Mora Amlan’ held at Barishal Ashwini Kumar Hall on Saturday morning.
The program started with the national anthem, and was led by Amitav Sarkar, divisional commissioner along with Rafiqul Islam, district judge, SM Ajiar Rahman, deputy commissioner, Shahabuddin Khan, metropolitan police commissioner, Saiful Islam, district superintendent of police and other district and divisional officials, employees of the administration participated and addressed the programme .
The participants and speakers of the programme of the condemned the activities and propagations for demolition of the sculpture Father of the Nation.
The meeting called the government officials and employees to come forward to protect the honor of the father of the nation at any cost.
On other hand Barishal Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries jointly organised a same type of programme on same issue in front of the BCCI building at Nazierpul area of the city on Saturday morning.
