Protest procession of Shibir, 6 held

Police rounded up six activists of Jamaat- Shibir from city area in separate raid yesterday on second day of the second phase hartal programmes of Jamaat .
 After announcement of the appeal verdict of Kamruzzaman , the shibir activists instantly brought out these procession at Kotwali and Akbar Shah thana area . Kotwali thana police rounded up 3 activists of Shibir from Station road area in city at about 12 noon while they vandalise the vehicles protesting the appeal hearing of Kamruzzaman .The participants of the procession ransacked a number of vehicles .
Police inspector of Kotwali thana Nezamuddin told that first of all police jeopardized the procession at station road and later they assembled near footbridge of the road and quickly fled away after vandalilsing rider and CNG tempos.
Meanwhile Akbar Shah thana police rounded up activists from biswa colony area under Akbar shah thana in the morning. Police recovered 100 leaflets, 150 jehadi books from their possession. Acting on secret information , police conducted raid in the area. The detained are Saiful Islam, Md. Tammim and Md. Jasim.
 Police sources said these local Shibir leaders were planning to brought out procession after announcement of SC verdict on Kamruzzaman.
