Proper curriculum concept to ensure quality edn stressed

Educationists at a workshop stressed the innovation of time-befitting curriculum concept, model and development strategy to ensure quality in higher education for producing properly educated citizens.
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) organised the workshop on ‘Curriculum concept, model and development strategy’ at Cafeteria Building on the campus yesterday.
Director of IQAC at BRUR Professor Dr Nazmul Haque delivered welcome speech in the workshop participated by the teachers of different departments under all six faculties of the university.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) of BRUR Professor Dr A K M Nurun Nabi attended the workshop as the chief guest and also delivered the keynote presentation on ‘Quality Assurance in Higher Education.’
Professor of the Institute of Education and Research (IER) of the University of Dhaka Dr SM Hafizur Rahman as the resource person delivered his speech focusing on curriculum development strategies of different departments of the university.
Dean of the Faculty of Arts of BRUR Professor Dr Saidul Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Science Professor Dr Tazul Islam and Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies Professor Dr Ferdous Rahman took part as discussants in the workshop.
Professor Dr A K M Nurun Nabi, in his concluding speech, laid emphasis on ensuring quality in higher education to produce properly educated and worthy citizens befitting for the 21st century in turning Bangladesh into a developed country by 2041.
