Thousands of people of all strata of Saltha and Nagarkandaupazila of Faridpur district Thursday staged a human chain in protest against propaganda lodged against Aimon Akbor Chowdhury, eminent politician, freedom fighter and son of the Deputy Leader of the House SyedaSajeda Chowdhury, at Nagarkanda.
Leaders of Nagarkanda-SalthaAwami League, Jubo League, Sechchasebok League, Chatra League, Sramik League, Motor Sramik League, MahilaAwami League, students, teachers, imams of all mosques and chairmen of all union parishad as well as people of all strata joined the human chain to show their solidarity and strongly protested the progaganda against AimonAkbor Chowdhury.

Protesting strongly against the propaganda against AimonAkbor Chowdhury, the leaders of local Awami League and front organizations voiced that such heinous act against a freedom fighter is driven by the ill motives to benefit the anti-liberation forces and protect the war criminals.
Speakers said, Imtiaj Hossain Robel, President of Faridpur Press Club is the nephew of war criminal and absconding death sentence convict Khokonrajakar, is involved in extortion, abduction and terrorism in Faridpur.
The party leaders demanded the authority concerned to take stern measures against the persons who are involved in spreading propaganda against AimonAkbor Chowdhury.
Mentioning that Imtiaj Hossain Robel is creating obstacles for the local journalists in performing their duties freely, they said all should come forward to resist such unlawful activities, they said.
A press release signed by MasudBabu, Media Assistant of the Office of Deputy Leader of the House Syed Sajeda Chowdhury on Thursdaysaid, this human chain was staged by the local people to protest the heinous activities of Faridpur Press Club President by abusing the authority of the press club and forcing other journalists to work in favour of his personal agenda for protecting his uncle war criminal death sentence convict Khokonrajakar from being executed.
A section of party people, basically intruders from anti liberation groups, have allegedly got involved with Imtiaj Hossain Robel for serving the purpose of the war criminals andfor foiling the target of the present government under the leadership of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of uprooting anti liberation force from the country to implement her Vision 2020 for building a Digital Bangladesh in line with Bangabandhu’s dream for a Sonar Bangla, he mentioned.
