Pronob Mitra, senior assistant proctor of Chittagong University (CU), has been charged as Proctor on Tuesday. He joined his office yesterday.
Acting Registrar KM Noor Ahmmed confirmed the matter. He said that due to the expiry of the tenure of the proctor Ali Asgar Chowdhury,Pronab Mitra will perform the duty of proctor until the appointment of new proctor.
The other assistant proctors will continue their duty till the next proctor is available. He also added
Professor Ali Asgar Chowdhury was appointed for the term of four years on 2015.His tenure yesterday was completed.
