State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadeque said the government is working for promoting women empowerment to boost economic development in the country.
Bangladesh is regarded as the role model for the empowerment of women in the world as the country has achieved remarkable success in advancing women, she said this on Saturday while speaking at a rally at Gulshan Club in the city, an official release said.
Ismat Ara called for stopping all sorts of discrimination and violence against women in the society.
