State Minister for Information Advocate Tarana Halim urged all concerned to project the government’s development activities to the people.
“The people need to know the development scenario in the country during the tenure of the present government. They should extend their supports to the government for implementing various development initiatives successfully,” she said this on Sunday while speaking at a publicity function at Tangail through video conference from her ministry.
District Information Office, Tangail organized the publicity function on the successful implementation of 10 special programmes of the Prime Minister.
Secretary-in-Charge of the Information Ministry Nasir Uddin Ahmed and Managing Director and Chief Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Abul Kalam Azad, among others, were present on the occasion.
Tarana said 10 special programmes of the Prime Minister would contribute significantly to achieving middle-income status for the country by 2021.
She laid emphasis on gearing up publicity campaigns on the 10 special programmes of Prime Minister to create mass awareness among the people.
The Prime Minister’s 10 special programmes are Ekti Bari Ekti Khamar, ashrayan, digital Bangladesh, Shikkha Sahayata programme, women empowerment, social safety-net programme, ghore ghore bidyut (electricity for all), community clinic and child development, paribesh surakkha, and biniyog bikash.
