The progressive student wings of Chittagong University in a press release demanded acquittal of the embargo on political activities at CU, rejecting the embargo that has been imposing at the University for six years.
The authority is trying to cover their partiality and failure through enforcing such kind of bare. The partiality of the authority, culture of the trial less and the embargo on the cultural activities are responsible for such killing, the press release said. The press release, signed by presidents of Chhatra Front Probal Mazumder among others urged the authority to call off the embargo to keep a democratic atmosphere in the University. It is mentionable that, the administration again imposed embargo on political activities at CU after a turf war between two factions of Chhatra League that claimed Taosh Sarkar.
