Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) panel mayor Md Osman Gani on Saturday inaugurated a programme on Saturday, aiming to motivate city dwellers to use foot over bridges and underpasses and keep those clean.
The progamme was launched in the city’s Farmgate area at 10 am
with the slogan ‘Clean City, Clean Bangladesh’. After the inauguration the programme the panel mayor said, “Every citizen and all political parties have responsibility to turn Bangladesh into a developed country. The country will be upgraded to a developed one within a short time if every citizen becomes aware and all perform their duties properly.”
Scout members and DNCC officials will operate the motivation programme in the areas adjacent to 49 foot over bridges and two underpasses on the city corporation on April 28, May 5 and 12. Twenty scouts, two scout supervisors and 7 DNCC officials will work in those areas from 9 am to 2pm.
The panel mayor along with the DNCC officials and scout members distributed leaflets among the city dwellers after the inauguration of the programme.
