Speakers at a workshop urged the bank officials and employees to gain professional skills and knowledge as it is inevitable for attaining success in the banking sector.
They urged them to make their banking activities client-friendly so that they get total benefit of the banking services.
They were addressing the inaugural session of a daylong workshop titled “Scheduled Bank Statistics Reporting” for the bankers and employees of Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank (RAKUB) at its training institute in the city on Saturday.
RAKUB Managing Director Mofazzal Hossain addressed the workshop as the chief guest while General Manager of Bangladesh Bank Abdul Bari and its Deputy General Manager Fatema Khatun and Deputy General Manager (Information and Communication Technology) of RAKUB Golam Mostofa spoke as special guests with principal of the institute Mozammel Haque in the chair.
The speakers highlighted the importance of the bank in agricultural development of the northwest part of the country and asked the officers to apply the knowledge acquired from the training in their professional field for boosting agricultural production in the region.
As the largest development partner in the agricultural sector of the northwest Bangladesh, RAKUB plays a vital role to earn economic emancipation and free the nation from poverty and hunger through boosting credit-flow to the potential agricultural fields, the speakers added.
The main objective of the course was to improve skills of bankers alongside enhancing professional competence of the officers through disseminating ideas about operation, administration and other related topics.
A total of 41 officials and employees from 18 zones of the bank took part in the workshop.
