The government has appointed Prof Dr M Sharfuddin Ahmed as the Pro Vice Chancellor (Admin) of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
He was the Dean of Faculty of Preventive and Social Medicine and Chairman of Department of Community Ophthalmology of BSMMU.
Health and Family Welfare Ministry issued a gazette notification in this regard on Sunday, said a BSMMU press release.
The release also said, President Abdul Hamid appointed Professor Sharfuddin as the Pro-VC (Admin) for a three-year term. He replaced with Prof M Shahidullah Sikder.
