Eminent educationist Prof. Ranjt Kumar Chakraborti, former chairman of English Department of University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), passed away at a city clinic on Wednesday.
He was 79.
Prof. Chakraborti, suffered brain stroke at his residence and brought to the city clinic where attending doctors declared him dead, Family and hospital sources said.
He left behind his wife, two daughters, a son, two sons in law and a daughter in law all are doctors by profession, a large number of students, relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
