Country’s eminent professor and scientist, and former Chairman of Bangladesh Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (BCSIR), Prof Dr Ahmad Ismail Mustafa recently joined Daffodil International University (DIU) as the Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences.
His diligent endeavour and intellectually stimulating activities to maximize the development of science and technology sector as well as the education sector is admirable and praiseworthy. His extraordinary contribution in teaching, research and in administrative activities, led him to be a legendary academician of the country.
Prof Mustafa has a luminous professional career. He joined the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (ACCE) of the University of Dhaka as a lecturer and promoted to the post of Professor as the youngest faculty of the University. He has served the University of Dhaka for about 39 years with high reputation.
He has a strong and impressive research network at both home and abroad – particularly, with several North American and European Universities
As an academician, he has supervised 150 research students in Master’s as well as M. Phil. and Ph.D. level and published 130 research papers in very reputed, high ranking International and National Scientific Journals.
The wealth of experience and outstanding performance of Prof Mustafa, led him to be a galaxy of intellectuals in Bangladesh as well as in the world. In recognition of his brilliant activities he has been conferred with the prestigious international awards which are: “One of the most outstanding people among 2000 of the 20th century” – Awarded by the International Biographycal Centre, UK and International man of the year 1997.
