Awami League Advisory Counc.il member and former lawmaker Prof Dr MA Mannan, a recipient of Ekushey Padak, will be buried at Banani Graveyard after his 5th Namaz-e-Janza to be held on the premises of his long workplace Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) after Zohr prayer today (Tuesday).
At about 10 in the morning today, the 4th Janaza of Prof MA Mannan, the pioneer of Neurology treatment in Bangladesh and also founder-president of Neurology Foundation, Dhaka and Epilepsy Association of Bangladesh, will be held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad (Parliament).
Prof MA Mannan, an elected Awami League Member of the Parliament (MP) in 2001 and 2008, breathed his last at a city hospital at the age of 84 due to old-age complications on July 16.
The first Namaj-e-Janaza of the late Awami League leader and the reputed physician was held at a mosque at Lake Circus, Kalabagan after Easha prayer on July 17, the second Janaza at his home constituency at Pakundia Upazila after Zohr prayer on Monday and the third at Katiadi Degree College ground at Katiadi Upazila in Kishoreganj district after Asr prayer on July 18.
