Professor Kazi Mahmud Hassan, ex- departmental head of Political Science of Government B L College in Khulna died of old- age complications at his Lower Jessore Road residence on Wednesday noon.
He was 89.
He left behind one son, two daughters, relatives and a large number of well-wishers to mourn his death, family sources said.
He will be buried at Tutpara graveyard after namaz-e-Janaza of Zuhr prayer at the premises of Govt. Alia Madrasa today in Khulna.
Former Secretary of Khulna District Sports Association (KDSA), Hassan started his carrier as a lecturer at Nogaon G M College in 1956. He obtained masters from Dhaka University.
