Professor Jowshan Ara, wife of Mr. Mostafa Jamal Haider, Secretary General of Jatiya Party and former Cabinet Minister, died at about 9:30 pm on Friday at United Hospital, Gulshan in the city.
At the time of her death she left her husband, two sons and a daughter, other family members and a host of friends & relatives to mourn her death.
Her first Namaz-e-Janaza was held on Saturday at Mateer Masjid, Khigaon, Dhaka after Zoher Prayer.
Her second Namaz-e-Janaza was held on Sunday, the 15th July, 2018 at her village home at Pirozpur and she was buried at the family grave yard.
Many leading political figures of the country have condoled her death. Among others, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, General Secretary of BNP, Nazrul Islam Khan, Col (Retd) Dr. Oli Ahmed, Dr Redwan Ahmed, Shahdat Hossain Selim, Major General (Rtd) Syed Mohd. Ibrahim, M. M. Aminur Rahman, Zabel Rahman Ghani, Mostafa Bhuiyan, Kh Golam Mortaza, Md Monzur Hossain, Dr. Fariduzzaman Farhad, Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa, Prof Rehana Prodhan, Kh Lutfur Rahman, Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, Hamdullah Al-Mehedi, Saifuddin Ahmed Moni, Comrade Syed Ahmed, Md. Shahidunnabi Dablu, Dr. T I M Fazle Rabbi Chowdhury, S M M Alam, Ahsan Habib Lincoln, Nawab Ali Abbas Khan of Jatiya Party have condoled her death and expressed their deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
