The Chancellor of the University and President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has reappointed Professor Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir as the Vice-Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) for the next four years. He joined on July 04, 2017, says a press release.
Prior to his appointment as the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samdani Fakir was the Vice Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh since 16 May 2013. Before that, he was Pro-VC and Director TLC of BRAC University from 2009 to 2012. He was Visiting Professor of SIT Graduate Institute, Brattleboro, Vermont, USA from 2006 to 2009.
He also worked as Director- BRAC Training Division & was Academic Chair for Post Graduate Diploma Program in NGO Leadership and Management under Global Partnership for NGO Studies from 1997 to 2006. He was also one of the co-founder of Global Partnership. Prof. Samdani Fakir is an internationally renowned educationist, trainer and researcher with 30 years extensive professional experience in NGO management, sustainable development, social change, organizational development, strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation, rural development.
