Member of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh Prof Dr Muhammed Alamgir left Dhaka for Germany on Friday to attend the 100 years’ celebration programme of Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
Prof Alamgir along with representatives from different countries of the world are expected to participate in the international seminar titled ‘Climate Talks- A Global Waste Affairs- challenges, needs, answers” in the university.
Bauhaus centenary celebrations and the seminar will be held on 10 this month.
The seminar is arranged to discuss various topics regarding research co-operation and waste management.
He will also exchange views with his counterpart and other academicians on new multilateral scientific projects.
Besides, the UGC member will attend the Erasmus+Programme at University of Padova in Italy as teaching staff mobility to conduct research during 5-10 July 2019.
His research interest areas are solid waste management, geo-environmental engineering problems and climate change.
