Professor of Dhaka University (DU) Television, Film and Photography Department Abu Jafar Md Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan has been appointed acting Dean of Social Sciences Faculty of the university.
DU Vice-chancellor Prof. AAMS Arefin Siddique on Sunday appointed him as acting Dean of the faculty as the incumbent dean Professor Farid Uddin Ahmed went to Preparatory Retirement Leave (PRL), said a DU press release.
Professor Alam Bhuiyan will discharge his duty as the dean up to 90 days or until an elected dean takes charge of the faculty, the release added.
