UNB, Brahmanbaria :
Production at Ashuganj Fertilizer Factory remained suspended due to a technical glitch since Friday night.
A bearing of the factory’s Ammonia Plant dismantled suddenly with a big bang at night, suspending production for an indefinite period, said Syed Shah Kamran, managing director of the factory.
“Concerned engineers are trying to fix it,” said the MD adding, “At least five days will requirenormalising the production process.”
The factory that produces 1200 metric ton fertilizer every day resumed its production in July this year after being closed for fourteen months due to gas crisis.
