Though he is a play producer but professionally Arshad Adnan is a banker. At present, he is working as Sr Asstt Vice President at Bank Asia. He is a different kind of acceptability among his colleagues due to not only producing TV play but also his acting skill.
Always amicable Arshad Adnan attached himself with cultural activities when he was studying in Management at Dhaka University.
His first solo recitation album titled Nishiddho Sompadokiyo was released in 1996.
Adnan, hailed from Pabna, first produced a TV play titled Papa under the banner of own production house, ‘Versatile Media’ in 2009. Tonmoy Tansen made the play. Later Chayanika Chowdhury, Raihan Khan, Sokal Ahmed, Akram Khan, Lutfunnahar Moushumi, BU Shuvo, Shahriar Nazim Joy, Ziauddin Alam, Rahmatullah Tuhin, Jubayer Ibne Bakar, Mehedi Hasan Momen, Shakhawat Hossain Manik, among others, directed their plays under the banner of Adnan’s production house.
Adnan Arshad started his acting career by Raihan Khan directed a play titled Professional. Later he acted in many plays but for the first time Adnan acted in the central role in a telefilm titled Prem-er Pandulipi under the direction of AHM Enamul Haque. In this telefilm, Adnan first performed with National Film Award winner actress Romana as pair.
While talking with him Adnan informed that in May he will announce to produce two movies at a time. Popular heroes and heroines of Bangladesh and Kolkata will perform in those movies.
“In fact, I do not want to acting. I have no specific reason why I don’t want to acting. But to entertain the viewers with good stories I want to produce good plays and movies,” Adnan said.
Moushumi and Riaz are two most favourite actors of Adnan. Under the banner of own production house Adnan has already made a 26-episode drama serial 31st May and a seven-episode serial.
It may be mentioned that Adnan Arshad has produced 79 plays till now. His birthday is June 3. He was only son of his parents Md Shahabuddin Chuppu and Rebeka Sultana.
