The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Water Resources asked authorities concerned for holding inter-ministerial meeting to strengthen dredging activities for smooth movement and free flow of water vessel.
The committee held the discussion at its 19th meeting on the Jatiya Sangsad Complex on Thursday with its Chairman Romesh Chandra Sen in the chair.
The meeting also recommended to increase allocation for procuring new dredgers and repairing of old ones in this respect.
