Campus Report :A ‘training programme on Procurement Management of Window-4’ organized by Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), UGC was held at UGC auditorium on Saturday. UGC Chairman Prof Abdul Mannan inaugurated the training programme as the Chief Guest while UGC Member Prof Dr Abul Hashem was present as the Special Guest. Dr Gauranga Chandra Mohantha ndc, Project Director (Additional Secretary), HEQEP presided over the function. Md. Korban Ali, AIF Coordinator, HEQEP delivered the welcome address. Md. Sohel Ahmed, DPD, HEQEP gave the vote of thanks on the occasion. UGC Chairman, in his speech stressed the need for properly following the rules and guidelines set by the Government and World Bank while procuring the necessary equipments and other project related materials. He further said that linkage between universities and industries needs to be accelerated and expedited.14 participants (innovation sub-prject managers, deputy innovation sub-project managers, directors, Planning and Development) from 4 public universities of the country and 7 officials of HEQEP are taking part in the training programme.
