A Dhaka court yesterday fixed December 17 for submission of the probe report in a case filed against former Vice-President of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur and five others for allegedly assisting rape.
Magistrate Nivana Khaer Jessi of the CMM Court of Dhaka passed the order fixing the date as Investigation Officer Md Wahiduzzaman could not submit any report on Wednesday.
Earlier, Saiful Islam, Md Nazmul Huda and several others of Chhatra Adhikar Parishad were arrested and placed on remand to quiz them in the case lodged on charge of rape.
Saiful Islam is the Joint Convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad while Nazmul Huda is a Vice-President of the front.
The rape case was filed on September 20. The victim filed another case against Saiful, Nazmul, former DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur, Hasan Al Mamun, suspended convener of Bangladesh Sadharan Chhatra Odhikar Sangrakkhan Parishad, Nazmul Hasan Sohag, Joint Convener of the front and DU student Abdullah Hil Baki with Lalbagh Police Station
