The Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka yesterday deferred the date for submission of the investigation report in the case filed in connection with the murder of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mizanur Rahman Talukder, 50, to April 4.
Magistrate Ziarul Islam of the CMM Court passed the order on Monday as the investigation officer Sirajul Islam of the case, who is also the inspector of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch Police, did not submit any report yesterday.
Earlier, on February 1, also, the investigation officer failed to submit the report to the court.
On June 21, the ASP of Savar Highway Circle, Mizanur Rahman was killed by unidentified assailants, hours after he left his Uttara residence of the city to perform his official work at Kaliakoir in Gazipur.
