The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 on Wednesday set February 24, 2016, to submit final investigation report into the crimes against humanity allegedly committed by Satkhira Jamaat ameer Abdul Khaleq Mandal.
The two-member ICT-1 panel set the date as prosecutor Rezia Sultana Chaman submitted progress report on investigation and sought three months more time to place the final probe report.
Mandal, a resident of Khalilnagar under Satkhira upazila in Satkhira district, was initially arrested on June 16 on charges of secretly meeting people to orchestrate violence, was shown arrested in the war crimes case on August 21, 2015.
On July 2, 2009, one Nazrul Islam Gazi from village Shimulbarhia filed a case against Mandal for killing his father Rustam Ali and four others during the War of Liberation.
