Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal here on Saturday said the investigation into journalist couple Sagar Sarowar and Meherun Nahar Runi murder case will soon see the light.
Our RAB members are probing Sagar-Runi murder case following the court’s direction. The latest
development about the case we’ve come to know that the DNA samples of two people have been found and efforts are on to match those. I think, it’ll see the light very soon and we’ll be able to unearth the motive behind the murder, he said.
The minister came up with the remarks while talking to reporters on Arunima Resort Golf Club premises under Naragati thana. Talking to reporters at Armed Police Battalion Headquarters two days ago, Asaduzzaman said he was unaware of progress report of the investigation into the Sagar-Runi murder case. On Feb 11, 2012, Maasranga Television News Editor Sagar and ATN Bangla Senior Reporter Runi were stabbed to death in their bedroom in Razabazar area in the city.
