Chittagong Bureau :
A 3-member railway probe committee has been formed by the Railway Eastern Zone authority of Chittagong yesterday with Divisional Engineer of East Zone Tarun Kanti Bala as convenor of the committee.
Two other members are Railway Real Estate Officer Jasimuddin and the Police Commandant of Railway , East Zone Abdur Razzak . General Manager of East Zone , Bangladesh Railway Makbul Ahmed visited the spot yesterday morning and directed to form the probe committee.
Sources said General Manager held a meeting yesterday after visiting the spot with the Divisional heads of CRB and constituted the committee , Engr. Tarun Kanti Bala said.
Meanwhile Railway authority submitted a GR case before the Khusli thana on Sunday night accusing 4 persons for this unauthorized tree felling.
Sub Asstt. Engineer of East Zone Amir Hossain filed the case on behalf of the railway authority of East Zone. The accused in the case are Arman, Sohel, Sultan and Sabuj for illegal tree felling and trafficking.
