Pro-Pakistani elements promoting militant, communal politics: Inu

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said on Saturday that there was no middle path between being pro-Pakistani and pro-Bangladeshi.
He said the pro-Pakistani elements were promoting militant and communal politics, so without defeating them the country could not progress.
He was addressing a two-day central committee meeting of his party Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JASOD) at the party office.
Inu said that the pro-Pakistani trend had to be defeated, electorally, in the 2018 general election. “Maintaining equidistance between Sheikh Hasina and Khaleda Zia was suicidal at this juncture,” he said.
The information minister said there was no alternative but to raise the voice of the 14-Parties’ workers even higher to consolidate the economic gains that the country had made and further consolidate it and end corruption, disparity and subversive elements to bring a qualitative change in the politics of the country.
