The ruling party- backed Yellow Panel under the banner of ‘Progressive Teachers’ Union’ has begged all the posts in the Chittagong University Dean Election, trouncing the BNP- backed White Panel.
Chief Election Commissioner and Acting Registrar Dr Kamrul Huda said, the candidates of Halud Dal have secured all the seven dean posts where one was elected uncontested. The voting sets in around 9.00 am and ended at 1.00 pm. Earlier 60 faculty members have concluded their early voting.
The office- bearers are-Prof Dr Sekandar Chowdhury in Arts Faculty, Prof Dr SafiulAlam in Science Faculty, Dr Awrengajeb in BBA Faculty, Prof DrFarid Uddin in Social Science Faculty, Prof Dr Mahbubur Rahman in Biology Faculty and Prof Dr Shankarlal Shaha in Engineering Institute.
BNP- backed ‘Sada Dal’ candidates were Prof Dr Mujaffar Ahmed Chowdhury, Prof Dr Kamal Hossain, Prof Dr NasrulKadir, Prof Dr Saiful Islam and Prof Dr Baktiar Uddin.
Prof Dr Sultan Ahmed, Convener of the yellow panel said, all the posts were begged by the candidates of Halud Dal, expressing gratitude to the faculty members.
