The prize giving ceremony of annual sports and cultural competition-2018 of Nurun Newaz High School of North Yashpur village in Chhagalnaiya, Feni was held in the school auditorium recently. Senior Secretary of Ministry of Public Administration, Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque Khan was grace the occasion as chief guest.
Founder of the school as well as Senior Vice President of Chittagong Chamber & Chairman of NCC Bank, Md. Nurun Newaz Salim presided over the function while Chittagong Divisional Commissioner Md. Abdul Mannan, Executive Member of Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (Administration and Finance) Mohammed Ayub, Member of Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (Administration) Md. Yeakub Ali Patwari), Director (Finance) of Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC) Muhammad Mahfuzul Huq, Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources, Khadiza Nazneen, Deputy Commissioner of Feni District Manoj Kumar Roy, Superintendent of Police S. M. Jahangir Alam Sarker and Chhagalnaiya Upazila Parishad Chairman, Mejbaul Haider Chowdhury were present as special guests.
In his speech, the Chief Guest expressed his satisfaction to the overall activities of this school and said that this educational institution in remote areas like Feni would remain an example for other regions of the country. He also said that, the way in which the establishment of so many organizations in the family’s sole initiative of Md. Nurun Newaz Salim is undoubtedly the claimant of fame; If such a friendly person has taken such initiative in every district then there will be a lot of improvement in the education sector of the country. Later, the Chief Guest and Special Guests distributed prizes among the winners of the Sports and Cultural Competition. Finally, the program ended with a pleasant cultural program organized by the students of the school.
