Prize-giving ceremony held in Sylhet

The prize-giving ceremony, organised by Mohammedpur Government Primary School, was held at school ground Balagonj Upazila in Sylhet on Friday.
Presided over by Amin Miah it was addressed by LSAP Human right lawyer Mst. Aklima Bibi was chifeguest, Director of Bangladesh Betar Dhaka (Education) D. Mir Shah Alam, Lalabazar UP chairman Khairul Afian Chowdhury, Silam UP panal chairman Mujibur Rahman, Chanal I Sylhet Correspondent Sadikur Rahman Saki, The New Nation Sylhet Correspondent S.A Shofiee, Enamul Haque, Local journalist Jullur Rahman addressed the function.
Chief Guest Aklima Bibi said, “No barrier for education” British girls promoting girls education in rural Bangladesh; to improve the educational standard of Balagonj upazila UK expatriates were playing a significant role by encouraging talented students of this region. He urged the teachers to take more liabilities to teach students. Aklima Bibi after helping to fund the school projects. She is further helping to develop poor communities in Bangladesh, through promotion of girls education. A total of 50 students from Mohammedpur primary schools of Balagonj were get prize which was handed over by the chief guest.
Two British girls Amira Zulaika Bibi and Mahima Bibi aged 10 and 11 years, of Luton, Bedfordshire UK have come to Bangladesh to help promote girls education through sports, with their mother Aklima Bibi.
