Department of Urban and Regional Planning (URP), BUET organizes the prize giving ceremony of the competition under the project titled Engaging young minds to understand and communicate urban problems on Friday.
The project, funded by EMK Center, includes two competitions: (i) making presentations on urban problems and (ii) essay writing on ‘city of your dream’.
Digital presentation-making competition is participated by urban planning students from six universities – Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Khulna University, Jahangirnagar University, Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) and Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET). Children from 16 different schools in Dhaka are participating in the essay writing competition.
Prof Khaleda Ekram, Vice-Chancellor, BUET present the occassion as Chief Guest. M K Aaref, Director, EMK Center and Ann B McConnell, Director, Public Affairs, the American Center, Embassy of the United States of America, Dhaka also present as Special Guests. The Head, Department of URP, BUET will chair the program.
