The prize distribution and closing ceremony of the WALTON Second Division Chess League was held on Saturday at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room in the city.
Uttara Central Chess Club emerged unbeaten champions with 25 game points while Legend Faraz Ayaz Chess team finished runners-up with 19 game points. Dhaka Nights Chess Club finished third also securing 19 game points.
The champions received Taka 25,000 while the runners-up got Taka 15,000 as prize money.
Besides, the third place finishers received Taka 10,000.
FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, head of sports and welfare of WALTON Group, distributed the prizes among the winners as chief guest.
KM Shahidullah, vice president of Bangladesh Chess Federation, was present as special guest.
