Priyanka, Swikriti, Shorolipi render songs for special days

February 21 is the International Mother Language Day and March 26 is the Independence Day. To mark these two days, Bangladesh Television (BTV) has made special episodes with some singers for its regular show Bangla Studio. Recording of the songs were done at own studio of BTV on January 26. Shahnaz Rahman Swikriti, Priyanka Biswas and Shorolipi rendered songs for these two special days.
Swikriti rendered a song titled Salam Salam Hazar Salam. Fazal-e-Khoda wrote lyrics of the song while late Abdul Jabbar composed its music. Swikriti said, “For the first time in any show, I have rendered the song. Many emotions, loves and respects blend with this song which I have realized while rendering the song. I give thanks to BTV to give me the opportunity to render the song.”
Shorolipi rendered Runa Laila’s famous song Nodir Majhi Boley. Composed by Khondokar Nurul Alam lyrics of the song were written by Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal. Shorolipi said, “Though I rendered the song in different programmes but for the first time I rendered it for any TV channel. Runa Madam is my favourite singer. It is a great luck for me to render her song.”
Priyanka Biswas rendered a song titled Aamar Gaan-er Antora Aamar Bangladesh, which lyrics were written by Gazi Mazharul Anwar and composed by Subir Nandi. Priyanka said, “I have lent my vocal for the song after making fusion which surely gives a new dimension to the song. I have tried my level best to render the song properly. Meanwhile, yesterday I performed at Uttara Club. I will perform in Patuakhali on January 31, in Chattogram on February 6 and at Grand Sultan in Srimongal on February 8.”
Swikriti’s first solo album was Hridoyer Shihoron. Later her six albums were released. She first lent her voice for play-back song for film Mayer Somman. Till now she has rendered more than 700 play-back songs.
On the other hand, Shorolipi is giving training of music in Mastermind School, Nazrul Academy and an institution of Dhaka South City Corporation.
