Campaigning for her mother Sonia Gandhi in Rae Bareli, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday raised the poll pitch and directly hit out at Narendra Modi over the issue of women empowerment.
Speaking at a poll meeting here, Priyanka had a word of advice for Modi: “If you speak of women empowerment, don’t listen to our phone conversations behind closed doors. Give us power as individuals.”
“If they speak of women empowerment, the women need to know how they plan to do it,” Priyanka said.
Slamming the concentration of power in “one hand”, Priyanka rued, “It is the misuse of politics that you gain power with the help of people and then transfer it all into one hand.”
