Private Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) operator RangsTel has recently launched the fastest internet in Bangladesh thru its lastmile Gegabit network in the city. State Minister for Posts and Telecommunications Tarana Halim, MP launched the internet. Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministry Imran Ahmed, MP and Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Dr. Shahjahan Mahmood and RanksTel Managing Director Romo Rouf Chowdhury were present on the occasion.
