Md. Kohinur Hawladar (55), a prisoner of Bagerhat district jail hajat died in Bagearhat Sadar Hospital on Sunday noon while was being given treatment.
He was the son of one Abdul Malek Hawladar of village Katakhali under Rampal Upazila in Bagerhat district.
Golam Dastagir, Super of Bagerhat Jail said that on the day at 11 am he felt pain in his chest. He was immediately brought to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital and was admitted to its emergency ward where he expired on the same day at noon at the time of his treatment. It is further learnt from the jail super that the deceased had been living in the jail hajat as a prisoner since January, 2026 in connection with a murder case.
