A convicted prisoner, who had been serving jail term at the district jail in a drug case, died at Narayanganj General Hospital on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Sohag Miah, 48, son of Abdul Hai, a resident of Munshiganj district.
Forkan Wahid, jailer of Narayanganj jail, said they got Sohag admitted to the Narayanganj 100-bed General Hospital at noon after he complained of stomach pain.
