Secretary of Women and Children Affairs Ministry Kamrun Nahar emphasized on giving priority to women and children in disaster management as both of them fall victims of natural calamities.
She said this on Wednesday while addressing a dissemination workshop on ‘National Resilience Programme’ being implemented by Women Affairs Department with the finance from UN Women, said an official press release. Women Affairs Department acting Director General Md Ataur Rahman presided over the workshop addressed, among others, by Programme Specialist of UN Women Bangladesh Dilruba Sarder and Secretary of Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Md Mohsin.
