Principal Nurun Nabi receives lifetime achievement award

Renowned educationist Principal Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.) received the lifetime achievement award for his outstanding contribution of education sector in Bangladesh. Education based magazine Education Watch has given special honor to Principal Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.) contributing to the development of quality education and promotion of education in a very lengthy career. On this occasion, Education based magazine Education Watch organized such an award giving ceremony in the Sufia Kamal Auditorium at National Museum in Dhaka on Monday 16 April 2018, marking Education Watch 10th founding anniversary. The Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman was present as the chief guest at this grand ceremony.
It is to be noted here that the Principal Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.) was born on December 25, 1946 in the village of Saisa in Raipur thana of Noakhali district (now Laxmipur). His father late Ali Haider Master was a renowned teacher and mother late Hazara Begum was a housewife and an ideal mother.
Principal Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.) started his school life from Sandwip in Chittagong district. Nurun Nabi passed class five with the scholarship from Char Zamidarhat Primary School, SSC from Laxmipur Model High School, HSC from Dhaka College and BSC from Jagannath College. After passing the BSC, He went to Karachi University under interwing Scholarship and earned master’s degree in statistics from the University of Karachi. Principal Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.) Joined the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul in 1970. He worked 33 years in Bangladesh Army.
Principal Colonel Nurun Nabi (retd.) Founding Principal of Rajuk Uttara Model College and Milestone College. He also served as the Principal of Jhenidah Cadet College and Faujdarhat Cadet College. At present, He is working as adviser of the Milestone College.
